Hi! I'm Rohan, a co-founder of Brockwell Tutors. I'm a Teach First-qualified teacher with degrees in History from the University of Oxford (BA) and University College London (MA), where I'm currently working on a PhD in History and Education. Alongside private tutoring, I have taught History and Geography in secondary schools across South London, delivering consistently strong results at KS3 and KS4.

Over the past five years, I have tutored students from 11+ through to A-level, establishing constructive relationships and supporting them in achieving their academic goals. I believe effective tuition starts with getting to know each student's individual needs, then tailoring lessons to build confidence and motivation, deepen understanding, and address their particular challenges.

As co-founder, I oversee recruitment to ensure every tutor meets our high standards, and personally match each student with the tutor best suited to them, staying closely in touch with families throughout. I look forward to welcoming new students to Brockwell Tutors, and helping them realise their potential.

Hi! I'm Charlotte, a First-Class English graduate from the University of Birmingham (BA) with an MA in Creative Writing from Goldsmiths. I have tutored full-time for three years, specialising in 11+ and school admissions preparation, with a particular focus on English and creative writing.

I have extensive experience helping students secure places at their first-choice schools across South London, and take real pride in seeing that hard work pay off. I also specialise in supporting SEND students, bringing a patient, adaptable, and creative approach to every session and building strong, lasting connections with both students and their families.

Alongside tutoring, I'm currently writing my first novel — a project that keeps my own love of language and storytelling very much alive, and a passion I enjoy bringing into my sessions with students.

Hello! I'm Seymour, a Classics graduate from the University of Cambridge (BA), the Sorbonne (MA), and the University of Nottingham (PhD), having achieved three A*s at A-level in Maths, Latin, and Greek. Alongside my studies, I spent several years tutoring part-time and gained experience working in primary and secondary schools, before moving into private 11+ tutoring full-time after completing my PhD.

I believe the KS2/11+ curriculum constitutes the fundamental skills of good literacy, numeracy, and reasoning. I really enjoy knowing that by rigorously teaching each foundational topic, my students will be well-placed to thrive in secondary school education — not infrequently at their first-choice school!

Alongside my main focus on 11+ preparation, I also tutor Latin and Religious Studies at KS3, and support Classics applicants through the Oxbridge admissions process.

Hi! I'm Chris, a qualified History teacher with a genuine passion for History and Politics and for helping students become confident, independent thinkers. I studied History at Lancaster University, and since 2022 have taught History from KS3 through to A-level, alongside A-level Politics, in schools across London and internationally.

My teaching has given me broad familiarity with different curricula, including various History GCSE and iGCSE exam boards, and I've consistently helped students outperform their predicted grades. As Head of Politics, I developed the A-level curriculum and supported Sixth-Form students with academic writing and university applications.

What I enjoy most is getting students genuinely engaged with what they're learning — I love a good historical argument, and encourage students to question interpretations, make connections, and develop ideas of their own. I also make sure they know how to turn that knowledge into strong exam answers, tackling unfamiliar questions with confidence and making their arguments with precision.

Bonjour! I'm Léonie, a native French speaker with a Master's in Teaching French as a Foreign Language. I have classroom teaching experience at an independent school in South London, working with students across Years 9 to 11, and have also privately tutored French extensively, from KS3 through to A-Level.

As a native speaker, I bring genuine fluency and rich cultural insight to every lesson, helping students build real confidence in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing French. I'm also well-versed in exam board requirements and specifications, and take a patient, supportive approach that has consistently helped students succeed in their exams.

Hello! I'm Megan, an English BA (Hons) graduate from the University of Cambridge. I teach English across all levels, having also achieved 9s in English Language and English Literature at GCSE and an A* in English at A-Level. I am an experienced mentor, having taught English abroad for the past two summers, where I worked with students aged 7-18, who spoke different languages as their L1. Following this, I received 99.84% in my 120-hour TEFL QTS certification. I have also lectured at English schools, aiding their Oxbridge and Russell Group candidates with applications and personal statements. Having closely worked with an admissions tutor at Cambridge, I understand their selection system well.

My background in literature is wide-ranging – I tutor for all texts and time periods, whether Middle English (Chaucerian), Renaissance, Eighteenth-century, modern or unseen extracts.

In English, there is never one right answer and I enjoy sharing conversations with students about the richness of a text. My University supervisions showed me how best to draw out new ideas and thoughts from pupils – skills I have now implemented. Together, English lessons will be engaging and informative!
